ABOUT NOLAH YOUNG
Nostalgic, soulful and ironic – Nolah Young is not just another girl. As a first generation, Korean-American, born and raised in New Jersey, she brings a fresh perspective to the new spectrum of what it is to be an “American” singer-songwriter in today’s modern-day era.
Her early work took shape in a couple of EP recordings, “Lonely Lovers Fantasy” and “1-800-FANTASY.” The soft, dreamy R&B titles landed her in features with Paper Magazine, The Fader, Nylon Magazine, and Refinery29. With over 123,000 streams on her lead single “It Is What It Is,” her music has been on rotation on major playlists such as Spotify’s “Fresh Finds: The Wave” and Tidal’s “Rising R&B.”
Off the momentum of her latest releases, Nolah is now executive-producing the material for her first full-length album. She aims to deliver her new material as a thoughtful, full-bodied  audio-visual experience. With hip-hop driven bass and drums topped with jazz and blues vocal inflections, Nolah plans on showcasing her masterful vocal range without use of autotune. Her ability to capture an audience with her robust dynamics, fluttery falsetto, and demanding stage presence put her in a unique category of her own. Unlike today’s over-the-top theatrics and marketing schemes, Nolah Young breaks it down to the basics:  a beautiful singing voice. So do yourself a favor,  hand her the mic…and just listen.
